About this event
- Save $50 by entering by April 7th, 2023!
We’re delighted to announce an exciting addition to our club’s schedule. This track day is a low-key, non-racing event that should appeal to every club member.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who may have retired from racing or does not race, or perhaps a racer who has a particular car they do not want to race but would like to get on the track. If you are interested, please rally your like-minded friends to join you.
- Pre-war, Race, Track, Street and "Preservation" cars welcome!
- Please note we will not be racing. Nor will we be parading. Passing will be allowed by "point by" only in designated sections. Passing going into a corner or in a corner will not be permitted for all groups.
- We proceed rain or shine! No cancellation within one week of the event. If extreme weather forces the cancellation of the event you will get a full refund.
- Unmuffled and VSCCA membership is not required.
- You’ll enjoy at least five 20-minute sessions and can bring any car older than 1975 - especially those exceptional ones we don’t usually see on the track. No wheel-to-wheel racing with passing only in designated areas, so those in pre-war and “preservation” cars, as well as drivers with no track experience, will be able to enjoy the track at their own pace. VSCCA "approved track drivers" get the chance to exercise their racers without the pressure of racing and get them in perfect shape for Spring Sprints.
- We'll group participants by speed & qualification and instructors will be on hand to provide pointers. First sessions will be paced for folks to learn the track and you can at any time team up with experienced drivers within your group for lead-follow laps.
- Did we mention this is an unmuffled event so bring out those formula cars, sports racers, etc.!
- The track will provide corner monitoring, electronic signaling and emergency services, so our VSCCA track worker members will be free to join us in the fun!
- The entire track and large, lower paddock will be ours for the day. Included lunch will be catered.
- Camping is available Thursday night for $20 with the gates open 5:00-10:00 PM.
- Bed & Breakfasts abound en-route and the surrounding roads are magnificent for touring.
- For those not camping, the gates will open at 6:30 AM. Mandatory drivers’ meeting at 8:30 AM with the track hot 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM - except for an hour for lunch.
- We’re limiting attendance to 60, so register early!
- No gas available at or near the track, so fill up and bring containers of race fuel!
