About this event
Come enjoy the VSCCA’s biggest event of the year, the Empire Cup.
- You can volunteer for Friday, Saturday or both in the registration process.
- Don't forget to sign up for Worker Rides at the end of the day on Saturday!
- Scheduled for the last slot on Saturday - most likely 5:40 PM.
- We'll need only a skeleton flag crew of 5 for the 5:20 PM session, so workers not assigned for the 5:20 PM session can - after the 5:00 PM session, make their way to the tower to jump into race cars that will be waiting for laps.
Schedule for both Saturday & Sunday:
- 8:00 AM: Check in at the VSCCA worker trailer
- 8:15 AM: Flag Meeting
- 9:00 AM: First cars on Course
- Saturday only for unassigned flaggers: 5:20 PM Make your way to the tower for Worker rides!
- 6:00 PM Track cold latest
Meals (Friday & Saturday only):
- Lunch: We hand out $25 cash for both Friday & Saturday (Buy lunch at the track or pocket the cash)
- Friday Dinner: Free Party
- Saturday Dinner: Free Pizza and beverages from Mizza’s
All Volunteers Must...
- Wear all white
- Prepare for all types of weather
- Bring sun and bug protection
- Be at least 18 years of age
Experience:
- Is not required but appreciated
- If you have no experience, check out Marshal Gear
- Also, email Jim Bottomley, Flag Chief at jimbotmga@gmail.com to introduce yourself and let Jim know your race experience and interest in learning to flag
- Those of you who are experienced or have flagged with us before, we appreciate your talents
Waivers:
- All volunteers must sign the Lime Rock Park waiver at the gate
- As well as signing the VSCCA waiver at the flag meeting
